Sourcing For Emiratization And Saudization Roles

Practical ways to build a strong national shortlist without guessing anyone's nationality.

Updated October 29, 2026 · 1 min read

Many GCC mandates now ask for national candidates first. Doing that well, and fairly, takes method.

Never Guess Nationality

A name, a photo or a university is not a nationality. Sircho never infers it. A person's nationality shows only when they state it in their own public profile, and the client should confirm eligibility directly with the candidate.

Where National Talent Shows Up

  • Government and semi-government entities, where many nationals build their early careers.
  • National champions in banking, energy, telecom and aviation, which run graduate and leadership programs.
  • Local universities and scholarship alumni, often visible in education history.

Search Wider Than The Title

National leaders often move between sectors. A strong HR leader in a government entity may be right for a private group. Widen the companies, keep the level.

Check The Current Rules

Quotas and eligibility rules change. Check the latest guidance from the UAE's Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation or Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development before advising a client.
